Extreme sports competitions -- including skateboarding, motocross and BMX racing -- have almost always been a man's world. Young female athletes talk about the trials of breaking into a male-dominated arena that has historically objectified women and pushed them to the sidelines.
"It's no wonder young girls have a hard time finding female athletes as role models -- when they pick up a skate magazine the only women they see are half-dressed and standing on the sidelines." More.....
