I can tell that we are going to be friends…

Lunapads and BettyGoHard became friends during the summer of 2007. It all started with an email from Katie, a friend of Natasha’s who was helping her track down possible sponsors. Natasha had just started up the website  www.bettygohard.com and was busy putting together a mountain bike experience for women, run out of Rossland BC. The goal was to challenge women out on the trails and also to promote and encourage healthy, organic living as a positive life choice. They were looking for donations from companies that shared their values and so wrote to Lunapads to see if we’d jump on board – and jump we did! We offered to send a bunch of Pantyliners that they could give away at the end of the rides - one ride even ended with chocolate and wine laid out on the back of a pickup at the bottom of the hill! (Oh, if only I lived in Rossland!) The donations were a great success and so we’ve continued to work with Natasha to bring healthy menstrual alternatives to the women of the trails.

Recently Natasha and her husband Ian were visiting Vancouver and so Natasha made a special point of coming by the Lunapads office. It was wonderful to meet the gal behind the glory and we showed her around the office, gave her an armful of donations for the upcoming summers’ events – and she stocked up on some products for herself. It’s been a great time working with such a positive and outgoing program such as BettGoHard and the awesome gals behind it. Ride on ladies!
