SOFIA MULANOVICH WINS THE ROXY PRO!

Heavy 6-8 feet conditions (with occasionally 10ft waves coming through), a group of the best women surfers in the world, and a run for the world championship title on the line....and Sofia Mulanovich stepped it up to fly past her competitors and crown herself the 2007 Roxy Pro Champion! With only one more world tour event left this year, Sophia is now 2nd in the world and only needs 99 point to win the 2007 world title. After watching Sofia dominate her final heat, current leader Stephanie Gilmore congratulated her win and told the crowd "game on".  The final WCT event will be the last of the Triple Crown series and begins in Maui on Dec.8th. In the meantime Sofia can smile and celebrate her surfing today, 'cause she's bringing her A-game!

Roxy rider,  Lisa Andersen, is currently on tour sharing stories from her biography Fearlessness.

Chronicle Books describes Fearlessness:

A beautiful tomboy nicknamed "Trouble," Lisa Andersen ran away from home at age sixteen, determined to become the best surfer in the world. In this wholly original biography, esteemed surf writer Nick Carroll captures her unconventional path to fame. Lisa Andersen did indeed become surfing world champion—not once, but four times. Along the way she raised a baby daughter on tour, launched the Roxy brand surf wear for girls, broke a thousand hearts, and inspired an entire generation of girls to surf. Packed with color photographs and never-before-revealed details of her fascinating life, Fearlessness lays bare the story of a young woman who conquered the surf world and changed it forever.
